Peter Mainz has over 20 years of strategic executive leadership experience, using his extensive background and proven track record in the technology and utility industries to offer innovative companies expert financial and operational guidance in complex, global environments.

As President and CEO of Sensus, Peter managed all strategic and tactical operations for the global utility management leader, directing a team of more than 3,400 employees across five continents in providing smart meters, communication systems, software, and services to utilities worldwide. His tenure at the company lasted over a decade, including positions as Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer at Invensys before Sensus’ spin-off, where he oversaw all divisional financial and operational aspects while seeking opportunities to improve growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.

Peter’s career started at Schlumberger, where he headed finance teams and drove significant expansion into new markets in Europe and Eastern Europe. This was followed by a short period at IBM in New York, NY.

Currently, Peter is on the Board of Directors for Metron-Farnier and Landis+Gyr (LAND). His previous board roles include Chair of Metasphere, Director at ITRON, and Director at Cyan Holdings.

Peter received his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M as a Fulbright Scholar and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Administration from Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria.
