Position Overview
The Field Service Technician will play a critical role in our commitment to setting up our customers for success as they begin their journey with Metron. The Field Service Tech will be responsible for traveling to job sites to install equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and clean up the job after completion. We are looking for motivated individuals with a great attitude who are willing to learn and accept direction, have attention to detail and take attendance seriously. The position will travel to customer sites to provide a variety of product support
while contributing to customer satisfaction through improved system performance. High performing systems and happy customers will lead to good references and more sales orders. The field service group will serve both the utilities and real estate sales channels. Metron will supply excellent training and certification in OSHA Confined Space Program.
This position will be located in one of the following areas: Indianapolis, IN; Kansas City, MO or Milwaukee, WI and will travel extensively around the region to complete projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain water meters, registers and monitoring equipment at Mobile Home Parks, Commercial buildings, Multi-Family properties and Schools in the Indianapolis area
- Travel to other surrounding cities and states to install and maintain equipment
- Provide customer service to explain our system, products, services and technology
- Update service requests with details of each job
- Maintain inventory of tools and equipment
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues in the field
- Analyze water usage data
- Onboard and supervise contract install crew
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Like to work outdoors
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of trade specific tools for installations and correct use of equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tech savvy with basic computer Skills (Excel and Word)
- Some travel required– up to 50% (all expenses paid)
- Background and Credit Check
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Construction or Plumbing background
- Water Meter knowledge
- Irrigation system experience
- HVAC training or certification

- Estimated salary range: $55,000 based on experience + bonus opportunity

About the Role – Our IT Support Specialist will assist the IT team in maintaining our technology infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft 365 support and basic security protocols. This position provides valuable hands-on experience while supporting our organization’s technology needs. The role reports to the Head of Information Technology and helps implement technology solutions that align with our business objectives.
Salary range – $70k to $90k
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
- Provide technical support for end users across the organization
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 Support
- Help users navigate and utilize Microsoft 365 applications effectively
- Assist with basic administration tasks in the Microsoft 365 environment
- Support email configuration, SharePoint access, and Teams setup
- Help create and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 tools
Security Operations Assistance
- Help implement basic security measures following established protocols
- Assist with security awareness training for end users
- Monitor and report potential security incidents to senior team members
- Support the maintenance of security-related documentation
Network Support
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and maintenance
- Help monitor network performance and report issues

Position Overview
We’re looking for a senior software engineer with both frontend skills and solid full stack experience to join our small but mighty engineering team. You’ll play a key role in building and evolving the software that supports our smart water meter technology — a product used daily to manage critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver features that provide real value to our customers
- Dive into backend services as needed (primarily written in Go and TypeScript) to support full stack development
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the long-term direction of our web platform
- Take ownership of your work from idea to deployment, with support from a tight-knit team
- Pitch in on DevOps and infrastructure concerns when necessary (we use AWS, GitHub Actions, and CDK)
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Full stack experience or willingness to work across the stack
- Familiarity with backend development and infrastructure concepts (ideally some familiarity with Go, TypeScript, CI/CD, AWS)
- A track record of taking ownership and delivering user-facing features end-to-end
- A pragmatic mindset focused on delivering value, not chasing trends
Bonus Points For
- Experience in small team or startup environments
- Experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with accessibility and performance best practices
