Retrofit Adapters

For meters which couple magnetically to top-mounted registers, Metron has a range of adapter rings which make mounting Prism registers easy. Standard brass meters from major manufacturers can be retrofitted in this way, turning them instantly into smart cellular meters.

3-Wire Meters

For meters with an existing module or register that provides a standard 3-wire output, the cellular Prism R register connects directly to capture water flow data every minute of every day. The wires can be provided bare (as shown below) or terminated with a specific connector if required by the application.

Universal Duplexer for AMI Systems

Designed for situations where a meter is monitored by two AMI endpoints, the Universal Duplexer provides a reliable, robust connection from the meter to the primary endpoint, while allowing a second endpoint to also receive the 3-wire signal. This is ideal for approved third-party monitoring of water consumption for, say, an apartment complex, a mobile home park or an educational campus.

Paired with Metron’s Prism R monitor, this setup allows water data to flow into WaterScope without disrupting the function of the primary endpoint.

• The duplexer is designed to always prioritize the primary endpoint. Its 3-wire signal is passed through even when the duplexer’s battery expires or in the unlikely event of water ingress.
• The enclosure’s IP68 rating means that the duplexer continues working even when submerged.
• Long battery life – and a user-replacable battery – mean low maintenance.
